Student Agenda Use

 Communication
• parent to teacher (i.e. doctor’s appointment, special circumstances that teacher should be aware of, etc.)
• teacher to parent (i.e. informing parents of  a situation that happened during the course of a day)
• students to parents (i.e. student taking responsibility for doing or not doing something, probably written at the insistence of the teacher)

Organization
• assists parents in organizing school, church, and home activities for their child(ren)
• assists students in planning how to schedule their time for a period of time (length of time will be determined by age of student)

Accountability
• teachers are accountable for stamping students’ agendas each day (preferably first thing in the morning) regardless of parental signature and respond to parents’ notes
• students are to write in their agendas as instructed by their teachers unless there are special circumstances in place (i.e. student has some sort of behavioural or learning difficulty that has been identified)
• parents are to initial the agendas every day and help the students prioritize things that need to be done
